A 4 days business trip to HK office with lots of food, real little time for street photography but I managed a few shots when I was getting dinner one night lol.
Upon reaching Hongkong, I was brought to 鏞記酒家 Yung Kee Restaurant to try their famous Roasted Goose! Long queue as you can see.
The Toufu dish that never made the mark. Urgh.
One of their famous dish is also their translucent Century egg. My very first and I have to say it tasted fine like an egg and the white’s like JELLY!
This Roasted Goose was definitely worth the wait! LOVELY roasted and crispy skin!
That much for 2 persons, we wasted a fair bit. Damn.
Proceeded to our business hotel at Pennington by Rhombus. I think its pretty spacious.
My only complaint was that the pillows were just somewhat uncomfortable, which led to sleepless nights for me. = (
That’s as much as you can get of a view in the city.
Lobby area (arty farty)
View from my HKG office (an overview of Happy valley and the race course)
A complicated alley near the hotel caught my eyes early in the morning.
Breakfast at Tai Hing @ CWB.
The must try Milk Tea that is rich and covered with Ice so not to dilute the tea. Phew!
Buttered Toast
Peanut Butter Toast
Ju Zai Bao
One of the nights, my local friend York brought us around and to this Cafe Tai Ping Koon 太平馆食厅 for some unique local food! Thanks York!
Baked Chicken in some Cream sauce
Braised Pigeon in black soya sauce
Chicken Wings in their famous Braised Sauce (Must try if you visit!)
The larger than life Souffle! Must must must order! It’s tasty and great for photos!
See…. SURE MUST TAKE Photos with it! XD
After dinner, it’s the tram time for tourists like us!
A good way of experiencing the city night view as the tram is slow enough to slow down the busy pace
One with the host
One with the pretty lass.
Another approaching tram with the city in the background
The busy streets filled with automobiles
Else with people
Fast paced people walking around while I hang around waiting for the right moments.
Desserts at Fiat Caffé at Leighton Centre, Causeway Bay
My salted Caramel Ice-Cream
Creme Brulee
I walked by this shop for 3 days and finally gave in to temptation to buy the green pair of Onitsuka Tiger sneakers! Only thing I spent here!
Take some time to look upwards when you are in HongKong for some interesting views.
There was this China man that actually carried his luggage with a pole, like in the olden days! Amazed me somehow.
Final meal at the airport at Cafe Deco (pretty expensive but only option with lesser people). She loved the wraps though.
I loved my hamburger too!
End of images, I bet I put on 1-2 Kg from all the food (I have not included those on my mobile lol). Hope you enjoyed the photos!
Gilbert really nice!
Thanks Ravi! XD
