This was a long awaited trip! Missy Lauren’s first overseas trip and it is to Taiwan, where the nicest Chinese resides.
We basically started from Taoyuan where our driver (Xiao Xu) brought us to Taichung for 2 nights, followed by a night in CingJing, 2 nights in Kenting and last 3 days back in XiMenDing. =D
Let’s start off the images with some Missy Lauren on EVA flight, without a Bassinet. Due to my mistake, I failed to request for a Bassinet for her and she had to sleep in our hands. Do remember to request for one the moment you book your flights okay? Don’t follow my foot steps.
Our driver Xiao Xu is based in MiaoLi but he can bring one around the entire Taiwan in his Volkwagen Caravelle 2016 9-seater vehicle (including driver and luggage). He is not the typical drivers that tries to bring you to specific shops to earn commission, he brought us to places where it is good, affordable and less touristy. If you need a driver+guide for a group, drop him a whatsapp at +886 988 771 506
Much less explanation for this trip, just enjoy the images (Edited off camera this time! Pardon the unadjusted leveling and white balance) =D
She was a good girl on the plane. She may be mischievous but she have her goody two shoes side.
Mum, Dad and Gladys having a quiet moment without Missy Lauren’s disturbing them
Here we go, Taoyuan Airport.
First rest point before we reach TaiChung. Too tired to get more images as we had to settle Missy Lauren once we checked into Beacon Hotel
Early morning 5km walk around to find milk powder for Missy Lauren once we realized Taiwan uses 110V and our porridge cooker cannot be used. =X
First place of interest to visit was the rainbow village where the remaining village was painted by an ex-soldier. It was preserved by the government before it got tore down. Apparently, seems like whatever works this ex-soldier draw, are being commissioned (he was signed up by some art company. Heard this from our guide)
Next stop was Lavender cottage. Quite a disappointment as it was such a bad weather day plus it wasn’t the season to see the flowers
The best of the flower I could get. LOL. So bare!!!!
Visited XinShe Castle next, where we saw European castles in Taiwan. Relaxing atmosphere as it stopped raining for a while
Interesting scene. The swan fed the fishes food!
Image shot by Missy Lauren above. Pro Pro Pro!
Gao Mei wetlands to view sunset (we left before it because Missy Lauren slept just before it happens!)
Missy Lauren fascinations over nature.
I actually liked how the B&W images came out of this scene.
A group photo just before she sleeps!
A night walk in Fengjia night market =D
Preparing to have a drive up CingJing! (Better not to bring babies/toddlers up a mountain ride. She puked twice, once on me, once on mum)
Up at WuLing peak (The highest point!) Too cold for everyone due to the rain and wind (7 Degree Celsius)
A frown from her because she wants to take my camera.
When she got hold of it, she took a picture of me (For real!)
Gladys and Jansen
Fan Tong
The chicken without it’s meat
Busy body
Xiao Xu teasing Missy Lauren
The bad weather in CingJing. We basically walked in the entrance and all the way down to the exit.
This is our room in Aliga, CingJing. Seems very near on the map but not exactly so IMHO. However, one of the nearest ones to the 7-11 already but pretty hard to walk if it rains.
Carton King restaurant for dinner. We had our favourite Milk soup steamboat. Yummy on a cold night!
My pretty wife
Missy Lauren and Mama in the paper house
Saying Goodbye to Aliga Minsu!
A dog chasing after it’s owner. It ran for about 2km before the owner stops his lorry by the side of road to wait for it.
Successful attempt by Xiao Xu to carry Missy Lauren!
A visit to the Dong Guan seafood market to have some fresh stuff! Order your seafood and pay for it to be cooked! Really good!
Our room in Kenting (Smokey Joe). Highly recommended. It is very nicely decorated and also right smack along the night market.
Visiting Chu Huo (Eternal flame) in HengChun at Kenting. These are natural gases that emit from the ground.
Walking the night market in Kenting. =D
Fried Fresh Milk cubes. It’s amazing! Must try!
A solo walk to the beach early in the morning. Took some random beach shots.
And brought this stone home. =D
The stone behind is described to look like Lincoln’s face.
A visit to Jia Le Shui to view the natural rock formations
There is a cow and a human’s face in the picture above.
Close up
The last stop to Eluanbi (lighthouse)
A visit to Fu De temple up in Kenting. The temple is built around the hill so it’s all rocky around
JiuFen for a night. Raining and freezing cold again
Having a poop. Look at that constipated face of hers.
Her first trip on the taipei’s train. So excited that she decides to pole dance to celebrate. LOL
Rainy weather calls for the slippers!
Going for the famous soy bean milk and the Chinese flat bread. =D
We saw great light on this Saturday. The best weather day of the entire trip!
I thought a Chinese Michael Jackson entered my frame. EEE HEEE!
Cannot resist doing a couple of street photos of him. =D
We and our Uniqlo Lego tees! Family edition!
